TempleBarArt dot com has recently been launched and offers real oil on canvas paintings including many that may be of interest to people regularly visit newballymun dot com.
I've been asked to provide some photos of Ballymun from this site to be reproduced as oil paintings - these paintings would make excellent nostalgic gifts or a permanent reminder of the area for yourself.
There are also "Irish Heritage" paintings including many Dublin landmarks like Ha'penny Bridge, Christ Church Cathedral (and of course, the Mun).
You'll also be supporting the site as a percentage of each painting sold is donated back to NewBallymun dot com.
Click here to visit the website and then check out the Irish Heritage section. |

"Having memories of somewhere that no longer exists is a bit like watching dead actors in old movies"
So begins this brilliant memoir about growing up in Ballymun written by NewBallymun member Lynn Connolly (MedusaC). This is an exceptional book about her memories of growing up in the Ballymun area! The book is due to be officially launched in September.
Lynn has been a member of NewBallymun dot com since its launch and cites the website as the incentive to write the book.
Its really great to see this book being published at a time when Ballymun is being changed forever and also that the spirit of the website and the people of Ballymun is inspiring others to take action.
This book is really something that Ballymunners can take pride in, its superbly written and certainly produced lots of flashback memories for me, sometimes funny, sometimes controversial, and sometimes sad this book contains stories that everyone can relate to and hammers home that special spirit that exists between the people of Ballymun.
Lets help bring this book the sucess it deserves and pre-order a copy today online. NewBallymun members receive a 20% discount when ordering the book online at GillMcMillan.ie - Click here to order your copy now!
